An old watermill located on the Rogacica river was believed to have been Savanovic’s home a long time ago. The legend goes that the vampire lived all alone in the mill and he killed everyone that came to take their grain. After the vampire killed his victims he drank their blood. Although the legend causes outsiders to laugh, people from the Bajuna Basta region are very afraid.
The Jagodic family bought the mill but they were afraid to use it as a mill. They decided to let people see the home of the legendary vampire and made a fortune by advertising it as a place that tourists can visit. The mill was visited only during the day. As time passed the owners feared to do any maintenance work because they didn’t want disturb the vampire. The mill collapsed and now people fear the vampire might be looking for a new place to stay.
