A spokeswoman at Kensington Palace declined to comment on the new arrival. Markle previosly had other adopted dogs. One remained in the U.S. because was deemed too old to travel and one, the sweet Beagle named Guy, was able to make his way with her. The new dog is believed to be a Labrador. There is room for fans to speculate on the name. The dog has been joining Harry and Meghan at their country getaway in the Cotswolds area as well as at Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace in London.
Meghan with Guy
Meghan is a known dog-lover. She has long been a proponent of the “adopt, don’t shop” mentality when it comes to animals. “I’ve had two dogs that I’ve had for a long time, two rescue pups,” Meghan said during her first joint interview with Harry when they announced their engagement last November. Harry has also been open about Meghan’s magic touch with dogs. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex haven’t shared any pictures of their new pup yet. The sex of the canine companion is also unknown. Canine companions and their relationship to the Windsors have long been a topic of discussion. Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, is known to be quite fond of her Welsh Corgis.
