The Apple store robbed in London

The Apple store on Regent Street was fully operational later on Monday morning in the British capital. This is not an isolated case. Scooters and mopeds are on the rise in London. The raid comes one month after a gang of thieves riding mopeds attacked a high-end jeweler's in the same street. In this year to September, there were more than 19,385 "moped enabled" crimes in the capital, an average of 53 a day,  including thefts and robberies. Scooter criminals normally travel in pairs with a passenger sitting behind the driver, targeting busy areas where they can snatch high-value smartphones. Last month, a moped gang that robbed more than 100 people, including former Chancellor George Osborne, was jailed.
