The District line had been suspended between Earl’s Court and Wimbledon due to a security alert. A bomb squad and counter terror police have arrived at the station. Fire crews and paramedics also rushed to the scene to help people after the fireball went down the carriage. There were people with facial burns, adding that they were ‘really badly burned.’ People panicked, fleeing from the train as soon as the doors opened. One woman described how she had hurt her legs and had seen a large flame fill the carriage and another woman had ash in her hair,

One witness said there were injuries at the station after a “stampede” of passengers. British Transport Police said: “We’re aware of an incident at Parsons Green station. Officers are at the scene. The station is closed.” They urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behavior. Reports of another device found in the train existed but was not yet confirmed. The Metropolitan Police have declared a terrorist incident while investigations continue. London Mayor Sadiq Khan says he is in contact with Scotland Yard about the incident.
