During the German occupation of Poland the population was not allowed to receive an education.
In 1942 the Gestapo secret police arrested Dobrowolski. He was then thrown inside the network of extermination and concentration camps Auschwitz. Auschwitz was the most streamlined mass killing center ever created. It also remained in all our memory as the most enduring symbol of the Holocaust. Dobrowolski didn’t stay too much in camp Auschwitz as he was later transferred to other concentration camps. He and others like him were freed by Polish and Soviet forces in 1945.
He continued his life. After the war he went back to Poland where he ran a primary school and then a secondary school. Rest in peace Antoni Dobrowolski!
