British police said they foiled an active terror plot but no detail were given. A 43-year-old woman in Kent county, south of London, was also arrested. Police said the suspects were being held on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts. They were being questioned, but had not been charged. Neighbour Alex Sabanov, 28, said: “I heard about four shots. There were police everywhere. Their guns were trained on the house. I heard a woman screaming. It was a terrible scream.” “Due to these arrests that we have made, I believe that we have contained the threats that they posed,” Neil Basu, deputy assistant commissioner of London’s Metropolitan Police Service. said. “I would like to reassure everyone that across the country officers are working round the clock to identify those people who intend to commit acts of terror”, he added.
