A car hit riders at a bicycle race in Berlin and four were injured

The car drove into the area where the race was taking place, injuring three riders and a steward. The cycle events was taking place near the capital, in the Wannsee area near a place called Nikolsoker Weg. One person is fighting for life and another has been left seriously injured. Two others suffered minor injuries. Four rescue cars, two emergency doctors and a fire truck were sent to scene.

The incident is believed to be a ‘tragic accident.’ The RCC was established in 1883, being the oldest cycling club in Berlin and the second-largest in Germany. According to police, the cyclists suffered head injuries. Why the car was driven on the bike route was unclear. A statement from the RCC has not yet been released. An eyewitness described the incident: “I saw a white car, the rear window was broken, there were bicycles behind the vehicle.” No more info for the instant.
