Five people were injured in south London, Sunday, after a car hit pedestrians


Police, paramedics and an air ambulance attended the scene. A 25-year-old man was in a critical condition, while two others, a 35-year-old woman and another 25-year-old man, were in a serious but stable condition. The injured were Romanian car washers. The driver was arrested soon after by an off-duty police officer and charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drunk driving. He also had a head injury and was taken to a hospital. The Metro Police told the media the incident “was road accident, not related to terrorism.” Detectives from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating.
