She argued that the pictures shared by her father with hundreds others on Facebook made her life “a misery:” It’s about 500 pictures taken by her father, and posted during years, including some presenting her sitting on the toilet or even naked. Her mom and dad allegedly ignored repeated requests to take the pictures down. Her father is convinced that is a nice family album. He also think he  has the right to publish the images, since he took them himself. Authorities have a different position. A notice from police in Hagen reads: “Please stop posting photos of your children on Facebook and Co. for everybody to see.” The young woman’s lawyer, Michael Rami, believes his client had a good chance of winning if it could be proven that the images had violated her right to a personal life. The court proceedings are set to begin in November.
