Attack of Kurdish rebels with victims in southeast Turkey


A three-story building have been gutted by the blast. Monday’s attack came on the day the PKK marks the start of its armed campaign in 1984. During the last year, more than 600 Turkish security personnel and thousands of PKK militants have been killed. PKK is a militant left-wing organization which now has a new political platform, “Democratic Confederalism” (influenced strongly by the libertarian socialist philosophy. They frequently targeted police and the military with roadside explosives or car bombs. The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by several states and organizations including the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the United States of America and the European Union. However the United Nations and some countries have not designated the PKK as a terrorist organization.
