Fake bomb alert in Brussels, on Tuesday, at a shopping center

The arrest initially prompted the mall to be evacuated. In fact, it was a fake alert. The device contained only salt and biscuits. The man, 26-year-old, is a known person for the Belgian police. He has some mental problems. But fact is he was transported to the scene in a car and possibly he had a scenario to achieve. The suspect contacted police earlier in June, saying he was encouraged to join Islamic State in Syria, the prosecutor’s office said. Belgium has witnessed a number of false alarms in recent days, including the evacuation of the Brussels central train station on Sunday. There is the supposition that the vigilance of security forces is tested because somebody wants it to be diminished before a potential real attack. The country’s terror level would remain at three, which is the second-highest level.
