The men, believed to be 24 years old, were flying to Dusseldorf on Germanwings flight 4U9341. Because they got so drunk they were kicked off the plane at gate 23 and off the airport when police forces arrived. They were asked to leave the Manchester Airport due to the degree of their alcohol intoxication. The Airbus A320 which was originally scheduled to depart the airport shortly after 9am had a delay as a result of the incident and took off only one hour later.

The Greater Manchester Police Airport Division wrote about the incident on their official Facebook page: “Two males off-loaded from a flight this morning as they were not fit to fly due to drink…We want everyone to enjoy their holiday but will not allow the disruptive few to spoil the experience for the majority of passenger.”
