Terrorist attack killed dozens in Ankara

Most of the casualties are believed to be soldiers. Dozens of emergency vehicles were sent to the scene. The blast was heard all over the city. Security forces carried out a controlled explosion on a suspect package after the blast. Videos and images posted on social media showed large flames straight after the explosion and plumes of smokes rising into the sky. Turkey Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu cancelled trip to Brussels where he was due to discuss the migrant crisis with EU leaders, following Ankara blast. The attack is considered an act of terrorism but for the instant it was not assumed. The blast in Ankara comes as Turkey steps up its involvement in the conflict in neighboring Syria.
