Luzier revealed also he is preparing to release a book of cartoons entitled “Catharsis”, containing artwork representing his way of expressing himself after the murder of his colleagues. Rénald Luzier, known as “Luz” has contributed to a number of publications including La Grosse Bertha, Les Inrockuptibles, Magic, Ferraille, L’Écho des Savanes, and Fluide Glacial and was awarded the Prix Tournesol at the Angoulême International Comics Festival, in 2003, for his work Cambouis. He had a major contribution for the development of Charlie Hebdo magazine. Luz wasn’t a victim of the shooting in redaction because he was late for work in that tragic day, after oversleeping 30 minutes. A total of 12 people were killed by the two gunmen in the attack (10 journalists and two police officers).
