On December 19 three officers were arrested on suspicion of possessing and distributing images of a sexual nature via their mobile phones. Search warrants have been issued and executed after the three officers were questioned at a Central London Police Station.
Ongoing investigation revealed another possible suspect in this case and thus a fourth police officer was brought to be interviewed in connection with this investigation. He was already placed on restricted duties. Right now it is still not clear whether the officers shared the photos while on or off duty.
This is bad news for the police force as the revelations come over as fresh embarrassment just days after another officer was sent to jail with a 12 month sentence for lying over Plebgate.
