A visit to Warsaw scheduled for this week was cancelled. The German Chancellor doesn’t plan on attending the World Economic Forum this month in Davos, Switzerland. A meeting with her Christian Democratic Union will be delayed from January 10 and other appointments were cancelled during the next three weeks. Some commentators observed that the delay from whe Merkel’s injury happened until it was made public is due to the private nature of a German leader’s vacation time, when the public is not being informed about nothing.
As it was announced, the Chancellor will do most of her work from home now. She requires crutches to walk.
