Inside the helicopter there were three people that instantly died in the crash. The other five victims that died were people that came to the pub for a relaxing evening. A total of 32 people were sent to three hospitals in Glasgow and Sunday morning 18 of them were released. The types of injury these people suffered varied a lot: from head injuries to spinal and chest injuries. Most people got lacerations and fractures.
Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond had the following to say after the special prayer service held for the victims: "This is a black day for Glasgow and Scotland, but it's also St. Andrew's Day, and it's a day we can take pride and courage in how we respond to adversity and tragedy".
