Vatican medallions with misspelled writing were recalled

The misspelling of Jesvs as "Lesvs" was the reason why Vatican quickly pulled all 6000 specials medals of the shelves. The Latin text has the "u" character is purposefully replaced with a "v" character but the usage of the capital letter "L" instead of the capital letter "J" as mentioned above is a mistype.

The Jesus misspelled medals were made 3000 in bronze, 3000 in silver and 200 in gold. While these were only briefly on sale on Tuesday in St. Peter's Square four of the coins were sold before they were recalled. It is expected that the owners of the four Jesus misspelled coins will see a dramatic value increase of their purchase.
