Fly instructor Roy Murray was recalled from home to the airport to assist over the radio the passenger, giving him the appropriate instructions. The passenger, identified as “John”, was a brave man. Even though he never did a plane landing before, John was a very disciplined and calm student of his emergency fly instructor. After four passes of the runway, the small aircraft came to a halt on the ground. “He made quite a good landing. He didn’t know the layout of the airplane. He didn’t have lights on so he was absolutely flying blind as well” said the instructor Murray about the smart passenger from the plane. He saved his life and the plane. Unfortunately, the real pilot died Tuesday night. His name and his illness were not released.
