Editor of a Saudi Arabian website could face death for apostasy

Changing religious affiliation or preaching this act to others, apostasy, carries a harsh punishment in Saudi Arabia: the death . The monitoring group Human Rights Watch said on Saturday that Badawi’s website had lots of articles related to senior figure in the Religious life.

Raif Badawi was initially charged for insulting Islam using electronic channels but after the hearing that took place on December 17 a judge recommended to a senior court that the man is tried for apostasy.

The death in Saudi Arabia is not uncommon because Saudi Arabia applies strict Islamic laws.
