Dozens killed in a Pakistani plane crash Wednesday

The plane had lost touch with the control tower prior to the crash. The cause of the crash was not immediately clear. Pakistan Army has sent a helicopter and troops to trace the plane. The civil administration has also sent rescue teams to locate the wreckage and passengers. National Emergency Operation Centre has been activated for coordination. Helicopters have been placed on the disposal of NDMA to evacuate dead bodies.A massive fire occurred at the site of the crash. 36 bodies had been initially  retrieved. DNA tests will be performed to identify them. Among the passengers was Junaid Jamshed, a famous singer-turned-Islamic-preacher. President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the aircraft crash.
