Mount Everest killed again: four people had died in the last week


An Australian woman ,Maria Strydom, 34, a finance professor at Monash Business School, had died Saturday after she had reached Camp IV, the final camp before the summit. In the same day, a 45-year-old woman from Norway, Siv Harstad, suffered snow blindness and was helped down from the summit by two Sherpa guides. Subash Paul, 44, died at Base Camp II from altitude sickness, Sunday.. It was still undecided when and if their bodies would be brought down from the high altitude and it would depend on the team and family members. Two others members of the team, two members — Paresh Chandra Nath and Goutam Ghosh – were missing Saturday night. Since climbing season opened on Everest, about 300 people have scaled, according to data from Everest Base Camp as of Saturday.
