Suicide attack committed Sunday killed at least 63 in Pakistan


A  public appeals for blood donations to the hundreds of victims was made.A large number of members of the Christian community celebrating the holy day were present in the ‎Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park in Lahore. It seems that Christians were targeted. The suicide bomber was aged  between 25 to 30, according the police. A splinter group of the Pakistani Taliban, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan Jamaatul Ahrar (TTP-JA), headed by Maulvi Omar Khalid Khurasani, claimed responsibility for the suicide attack. The group’s spokesman, Ehsanullah Ehsan, called media and said this was the first of series of ‎attacks the group had planned this year in different parts of the country. Punjab Health Minister Salman ‎Rafique said officials had declared emergencies in all the hospitals of Lahore to better handle the injured. Three days of mourning were dec;ared in the province.
