One of the suicide bombers tried to get inside a Shiite mosque in the area but was stopped to access. The attack was pointed to an open-air market and other parts of the Bourj al-Barajneh district in southern Beirut. One of the attackers, who survived, a Lebanese national from Tripoli, declared to police he was an ISIS recruit. He told authorities that he and three other attackers arrived in Lebanon from Syria two days ago, according to a security source. Investigators are working to verify the information. Three local members of Hezbollah were among those killed in the attack but they were not targeted. The explosions damaged at least four nearby buildings. Military police and other authorities are investigating the blasts. Prime Minister Tammam Salam declared Friday a day of mourning for the victims.
