Talks between North and South Korea should produce an accord regarding reunion of separated families

About 22,500 Koreans had previously participated in brief reunions , 18,800 in person and the others by video , during a period of detente. None were given a second chance to meet their relatives, according to South Korea’s Red Cross. In fact, the 1950-53 Korean War ended with an armistice, not a peace treaty and there are the consequences. Military actions – such as the testing of a ballistic missile – could ruin the hopes at any time. During the actual discussions, exchanges of letters between separated families will be also considered for approval. If an agreement will be reached, a scenic resort at Mount Kumgang will probably be chosen as a venue for the event.
