G4S International Logistics, that was transporting the money to the Bank of China, said the money was safe until it entered the controlled airside section of the airport, a section to which their staff have no access. Nobody know at this time what happened. During the transfer, there was only a driver on board without a security guard. The good news: the money was insured. Police was prompted to launch  a theft investigation. G4S International Logistics,  which specialises in transporting valuable cargo, denied responsibility for the lost money. However, “G4Si is working hard to understand the chain of events that led to this loss, ” G4S North Asia commodities director Janet Leung told to the media. Privacy laws prevented from detailing who sent the cash to Hong Kong.
