People killed again in avalanches in Nepal

Nepal has been lashed by heavy rains for the past two days. This was one the deadliest spells of bad weather ever seen in the region. Two military helicopters had been sent from the capital Kathmandu to assist the rescue operation. Army helicopters took 14 injured survivors to local hospitals. Some persons are missing. “It was big snowfall on the mountain so many people are missing and killed,” Nepal Hidden Treak team leader Harka Gurung said to the media. Hudhud hit south-east earlier this week moving away from Nepal towards China. Nearly 800,000 tourists visited Nepal in 2013.
