Liu Xinwen declared that she and her husband respected the rules of the country but the recommended contraceptive method failed and the evidence of a new pregnancy was revealed when she was in four months. The couple has not informed the authorities and hoped to pay a fine after the birth. After they found the case by an unknown path, the Chinese authorities taken the extreme decision to set to death the unborn child. They applied a terrific procedure: dozen officials from the Shandong Province Family Planning Commission literally invaded the home of the family when Liu Xinwen was taken to the hospital to be forced to abort. The mother was already forced to sign papers which said she had agreed the abortion.
Liu Xinwen and her husband Zhou Guoqiang were left devastated.
