Rescuers pulled a small girl alive 12 hours after the structure caved. Other 30 people have been rescued from under the rubble and it is estimated than an equal number is missing.
This is the third deadly building collapse that has happened within the last six months in Mumbai. It is supposed that once again this was the result of corruption, contractors using substandard materials as a result of lax inspections. Lack of accountability may lead to the loss of many lives in this country.
