School stormed by bandits in Nigeria, pupils and staff members kidnapped


Gunmen believed to be members of a criminal gang stormed a school in central Nigeria, the Government Science College (GSC) in the town of Kagara in Niger state. President Muhammadu Buhari ordered security forces to coordinate a rescue operation, his office said.


Only two months ago, more than 300 students were kidnapped from a school in Kankara, in nearby Katsina state. Troops with air support were tracking the bandits.
