It was a symbolic ceremony , a ritual and not a legal binding. Sanele moved to Venda not long after the wedding. “I’m happy that I married Helen – but I will go to school and study hard. When I’m older I will marry a lady my own age.” This year, Sanele wanted to repeat the ceremony and they did it again. Helen is a mother-of-five with his real husband of 30 years who is 66 old. He declared :”My kids and I are happy because we don’t have a problem with her marrying the boy – and I don’t care what other people say. Helen, who works at a recycling center, said: “I didn’t have a problem with it because I know it’s what the ancestors wanted and it would make them happy.” Nobody can already to explain this story or to find if it is a certain logical fact about. But if all the community is happy this is probably the only important thing. However, it is not clear if the next year Sanele and Helen will marry again.
