Chief of anti-trust of European Union said that they are going to adopt a statement of objection pretty soon and starting of next year or end of this year EU would be in the final step of the internal procedures.
The news of an upcoming case comes after injunction applications were dropped by Samsung in 5 European countries. In spite of these withdrawal by Samsung, the European Commission is going ahead with its decision to file a lawsuit against the South Korean company. The early reports suggested that the EC was content with steps taken by the European Commission.
The first notification was sent to Samsung by the EC in January. The notification warned that Samsung was investigated for accused use of patent rights to imbalance competition in European mobile device markets.
These charges are the latest development in the on-going war between Samsung and Apple.
