The new operating system is very different than previous OS from Microsoft. Although users might need to get used to the new Metro UI interface a main advantage is that the new operating system is tablet orientated. Surface will be the first Microsoft tablet powered by Windows 8.
The new user interface allows users to easily customize how their home page looks on Windows 8. Adding widgets, date/time information, weather information as well as RSS readers is very easy now. Microsoft advertised both the tablet and its new OS quite a lot. But with ads and posters all over and with a tablet with a completely new interface and a lot of functionality Microsoft has a big chance to break the tablet market.
Microsoft will also open special locations throughout U.S. where Microsoft Surface tablet will be the main featured device. The tablet pricing starts at $499.
