Apple CEO Tim Cook issued a public apology this Friday on behalf of Apple. He then later posted a letter online saying “Everything we do is aimed at making Apple products the best in the world. We know that you expect that from us, and we will keep working around the clock until Maps lives up to the same high standard”.
Apple rarely apologies for anything as the company usually over delivers on its promises. But criticism is not aimed only at Apple’s new Map application. Apple fans world-wide report excessive battery drain. The now shorter battery-life upset many iPhone users that eventually ended up complaining in masses on Apple’s support forum.
It is clear that Apple released a sub-standard product. And as more and more Apple fans are considering switching to an Android based smartphone the ones that remain faithful to Apple can’t stop thinking that Apple just got stuck in the Comfort Zone.
