Blizzard’s statistics show that most of its clients have already switched to a newer versions of Microsoft’s operating system. As a result the stop of support was announced by a Blizzard representative who explained that the process of terminating support will begin later this year. What does this all mean? Users running the no longer supported operating systems will not be able to play updated versions of “World of Warcraft”, “StarCraft II”, “Diablo III”, “Hearthstone” and many other big titles from Blizzard.
The video game company explained: “After these older operating systems are no longer supported, the games will not run on them, so we encourage any players who are still using one of the older OSes to upgrade to a newer version.. We’ll be rolling out this change on a staggered schedule, and will post further notices as we get closer to making the change for each game”.
