The new PS3 will come in two versions: either with a 500 GB hard drive or with a 250 GB hard drive. The console will be available from September 25 and its final selling price will start at $250.
Expert analysts say that Sony is launching the new slimmer PS3 just to steal Nintendo’s thunder. Nintendo’s new console Wii U which already had a significant amount of pre-orders is due to be launched on November 18. Since the new slim PS3 will sell for $50 less than Wii U some people might consider Sony’s PS3 gaming console a better choice for a holiday gift.
Nintendo Wii U Sold Out on pre-order at most online merchants and this means a lot more customers for Sony.
