Experts say that a solution for users to play copied games will soon be available unless Sony does something about it.
Yifan Lu publicly declared: “It is now physically impossible to decrypt or load retail games with my exploit”. Lu further explains that his exploit will help developers try their software on PlayStation Vita without the need to go through the official Sony channel. But developers are not satisfied with Lu’s explanation. Once an exploit goes public it’s only a matter of time until someone uses it to do a kernel exploit which will grant the rights to do just about anything on the console.
Sony has taken many measures to build a safe hacker-proof environment on its console. In order to reassure developers Sony needs to take extra measures and release a quick update to fix existing security holes.
