“We recognize that banning these phones from airlines will inconvenience some passengers, but the safety of all those aboard an aircraft must take priority,” Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx said. The production of this device was already halted by the company. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 device is considered a forbidden hazardous material under the Federal Hazardous Material Regulations. Under the new announced rules, if passengers attempt to travel by air with the devices, the phones can be confiscated and travelers fined.

For Samsung are bad news but they hope to be again on top soon with Galaxy S8. Rumors are ongoing about this. Some things are speculated: suggested are  a 5.1-inch handset with a curved, QHD Super AMOLED display and a 5.5-inch device with 4K  resolution, with a smarter AI assistant.
