Rumors about a new Internet browser secretly prepared by Microsoft


Speculations are that eventually Spartan could debut on alternative platforms like iOS and Android. The new browser will use Microsoft’s Chakra JavaScript engine and Microsoft’s Trident rendering engine (not WebKit). An alternative expected is making Spartan a choice in upcoming tech previews, then settling on a single browser for future versions. In a few words, Spartan “will be lighter, more flexible than Internet Explorer.” According to rumors, the future Windows version will keep however Internet Explorer 11 around in case you need it for certain apps or features. Official, nothing is confirmed. Windows 10 will mark also the return of the Start Menu, previously removed from Windows 8. The new software will work on everything from a desktop computer to a smartphone.
