Facebook’s first attempt at a mobile phone showed the company’s weak point in hardware expertise. The second attempt was made while Facebook was working in collaboration with HTC to build their phone.
Moving in the mobile area has many advantages. Microsoft clearly saw this when it started it’s own OS and also when it bought Skype. There are a lot of rumors nowadays about Facebook. Will Facebook buy Opera? One thing is sure Facebook really wants a bigger piece of the mobile world.
