The traditional system notifications (example: a CD was inserted in the CD-Rom or an USB memory stick was inserted and its contents is available) and alerts from both Traditional Windows applications as well as those from Windows 8 style apps are now to be found grouped by time and app in this one central point. This feature is indeed a nice addition for users who might otherwise miss notifications. The technical preview version of Windows is expected to be released for the general public sometime at the end of this month or at the beginning of October.
The features shown in the leaked video are however subject to modifications. Additionally, it is very hard to say what features will Microsoft decide to include in its technical preview and in what extent will it provide full features or just parts of them.
