Samsung to unveil Tizen powered smart-watch on Sunday

Samsung has worked on its new mobile platform together with Intel Corp. in order to be able to provide an alternative to the popular Android operating system which it currently uses for all its products from the Galaxy line. Android has grew so popular in the past years that it currently accounts for close to 80 percent of the smart phone market all over the world.

Less than six months ago Samsung presented the Galaxy Gear wristwatch, a smartwatch running Android. The company has received a lot of negative feedback over its difficult to use features and its clunky form factor. Among the features of its new smart-watches Samsung listed a few: front camera located on the watch's main body and not on the strap like before, heart rate monitoring features, ability to control the TV via a virtual remote control and standalone music player functions.
