For all Apple TV users that got the "Apple TV update" message: "An update is available for your Apple TV. Do you want to download and install it now?" and answered with "Download and Install" instead of "Update Later" we have some good news: it seems the latest software update issue isn't wide spread. This means that if you updated your Apple TV and everything works fine then chances are you won't have any problems with it.
But enough users were affected that Apple decided it was the case to pull the update and correct it. When reached for comments Apple did not formulate an official response. But on the same issue a representative for Apple customer support detailed that Apple is working on a fix and that as soon as the reported issue is fixed a new firmware update will be made available.
