In January, images of what was said to be the rear shell of the next iPad were released and they also implied that the device will go through a redesign. The authenticity of the photos currently circulating cannot be guaranteed, but they imply that the new iPad will come with a thinner bezel.
However, analysts say that although the new iPad will in overall have a smaller footprint the device will still maintain its 9.7-inch display. Apple is rumored to start production on the new iPad around July or August and there have been suggestions that production could begin as early as April.
There is still not much conclusive information about what can be expected from the new iPad. It is speculated as per Apple tradition the iPad will come with a hardware upgrade and will most likely maintain its current market price point.
