Bypassing iPhone 5’s lock screen is possible because of a recent flaw

Starting with a map application with incomplete, wrong or distorted maps and closing with serious connection issues that rendered many iPhone smart phones unable to send text messages or make voice calls after their owners were disconnected from their networks.

The latest flaw that lets you bypass any kind of iPhone lock using a straight button press sequence was recently released to the public via a how-to video. The way you could bypass the iPhone lock-code screen on iOS 6.1 is very similar to an older iOS way of getting the same access level. That iOS 4.1 bug was only patched in iOS 4.2 which was released one month later. It remains to be seen whether Apple will require another month to repair this bug too.
