Zynga was very popular with games like FarmVille, CityVille, Castle Ville and many others. Now Zynga is losing money because it relied a lot on Facebook traffic instead of trying to develop a more robust mobile strategy. More and more people are using Facebook from their mobile phones and Zynga’s income reflects these numbers.

Due to bad management the company adopted a bad business strategy. In order to cut losses the company began making layoffs. This apparently upset hacker group Anonymous that claimed it will attack both Zynga and Facebook on November 5 in a video uploaded on YouTube. The video was later taken down because of YouTube’s policy against “depiction of harmful activities”.

The hacker group declared: “Zynga customers and Facebook users. We are anonymous. During the last few days anonymous has been targeting Zynga for the outrageous treatment of their employees and their actions against many developers”. Furthermore, Anonymous claimed that Zynga has one billion dollars in a bank and released a couple of “leaked” documents from Zynga. If Zynga does not change their strategy of laying off people Anonymous will release games stolen from Zynga’s servers to the world.
