Apparently the exploit allows a remote code execution and privilege escalation attack.
Basically this means that if you browse the internet using Microsoft Windows’ preinstalled web browser you are likely to get virused just by browsing unknown sites or ads served on your favorite sites.
In the past year Germany was often the target of such exploit attacks. Websites hosting malicious attack vectors tried to exploit PCs located in Germany and automatically installed a backdoor in case of a successful attack. Often times such attacks resulted in a fake message from German Government asking for money in order to unlock a PC the user could no longer control.
Internet Explorer is known to be vulnerable too many exploits and although fixes for these come with every Windows Update, security experts always find even more ways to hack the popular browser.
