People world-wide want a portable game console and Android seems to be the common ingredient of successful projects.

Nvidia’s upcoming device named Shield has a HD multi-touch screen that features a 1280×720 resolution. Thanks to its Tegra 4 72 core GeForce GPU chip the device is powerful enough to play both Android and PC games. Nvidia’s game console can play PC games by streaming them from a PC wirelessly or via HDMI. The PC will need to be equipped with a GeForce GTX 650 graphic card or higher in order to be able to send the video content of the games wirelessly to the game console.

Nvidia brags the game console that will launch by the middle of this year will be able to offer up to 10 hours of game-play thanks to energy and battery saving technologies. Although the tablet has not yet been priced it will be definitely worth all the money.
