The stunning underwater 360-degree images were made available thanks to a scientific study of our world’s reefs.
The Catlin SeaView Survey captured continual panoramic photos with the help of a revolutionary underwater camera: the SVII. Google announced this change two days ago: “We’re adding the very first underwater panoramic images to Google Maps, the next step in our quest to provide people with the most comprehensive accurate and usable map of the world”.
Navigating through SeaView is the same as before with StreetView. With a swipe or a simple click one can view the sub-aquatics world’s panorama of six of our ocean’s coral reefs.
