It’s about “how holographic computing will transform our world” is their promise on the special website built for the contest, at https://microsoftstudios.com/hololens/shareyouridea/. The final vote on the most appreciated ideas will be given on Twitter. Microsoft has said that all apps coded for the HoloLens will be “universal” apps capable of running on Windows 10 phones, tablets, and PCs, and that “all Universal Windows apps can be made to run on Microsoft HoloLens.” With HoloLens users can incorporate live physical real-world elements with virtual elements such that they are perceived to exist together in a shared environment. HoloLens had been in development for five years before its announcement in 2015.
